“Sun ke Seekho’ – Listen and Learn

The ‘Sun ke Seekho’ is a research project, aims to assess the Audiopedia web app’s effectiveness in spreading awareness at the two intervention sites by comparing conventional methods in one control site. Audiopedia is a robust and scalable digital solution to provide audible knowledge to marginalized populations. The Audiopedia pilot’s goal is to enhance the target community’s awareness levels in the tribal pockets of Palghar and the slums of Mumbai, Maharashtra. With relevant expert contents recorded in their native language and simple technology makes it accessible for anybody, anywhere. The ‘Sun ke Seekho’ project leverages Audiopedia app to drive awareness campaigns on Leprosy, COVID, its prevention, and WASH practices. The project is being implemented at the three sites: Talasari block Palghar district, P-ward municipal corporation Mumbai Maharashtra as intervention sites and Omalur block Salem district, Tamil Nadu as a control site. The Community Outreach Volunteers (COVs) are promoting the use of Audiopedia web app under the supportive supervision of Community Health Workers (CHWs) and the Field Coordinators (FCs) at the intervention sites. At the culmination, the project will compare the intervention results with those of the conventional awareness campaigns in the control site.
